Based in the southern part of Karnataka with kannada as its mother tongue, Bangalore is one of the most cosmopolitan of all cities. Also called the Garden City & now SILICON Valley/Software capital of the India.
- The Bangalore Main Railway station is in Majestic ( Subhashnagar)
- The Main interstate and long distance bus service is also situated in Majestic . Its called Karnataka State Road Transport Corporation - KSRTC.
- The Main Central Bus Stand is also based in Majestic , making it one of the only places where all three main transport modes are in access within 300 metres. It is also name as KempeGowda Bus Stop
- The airport is on airport road at a approximate distance of 10 kilometres from majestic. . Auto fare of 50-60
- The main form of hired private transportation in bangalore is a auto rickshaw and sometimes a city taxi.
- The minimum auto fare in bangalore is rs 10 AT RS 5 PER KILOMETER. The Radius of bangalore is approximately 14 kms, so from one end to another can be a max of 30 Km ( Leaving out outer parts)
Other Main Commercial Centre iin the city consisting of City Market ( Kalasipalyam), Chikpet, Balepet, Ottipet, Chamarajpet, Nagarathpet and other pets compromising of old Bangalore city commercial areas.
Bangalore can chiefly be broken up into five parts, Bangalore central consistin of the city areas and in the heart of the city.

- Bangalore South- JP nagar, Jayanagar,

- The areas overlap into other geographical sites, the best way to get around is to ask. Its easy to get confused due to the numerous one ways.
Newer areas are M G Road, Brigade Road, Commercial Streetfor the visitors including Malls called the FORUM (KORAMANGLA) Bangalore Central, ( MG ROAD) GARUDA MALL ( OFF MG ROAD) Lifestyle Richmond Road, and others.
The places to visit in Bangalore are:
- Vidhana Soudha housing the Legislative House Opposite the High court is a visually beautiful place 4 kms from majestic
- Lalbagh – A very large garden in the middle of the city housing beautiful plants and trees in a few hundred acres
- CubbonPark- A Smaller Park which has a place for children to play.
- ISCKON Temple- Made at a cost of approx 40 crores is a very beautiful temple on BangaloreTumkur Road (also called west of Chord road- near Yeshwantpur) is approximately eight kms from the railway station.
Bangalore consists of various temples and various other places to visit,
The entire city is easily accessible except for traffic jams, Other terminus of Railway station is Bangalore Cant, Bangalore East, K.R.Puram and Yeshwantpur.
If a person is confused the safest course of action is to get down at Majestic and take a prepaid taxi, City taxi or a Auto from the prepaid counters, slightly costly but safer.
Hospitals are many in number, The main hospital being in Government, Victoria Hospital, Bowring hospital, Jayadeva institute of cardiology, KIDWAI cancer Institute, and NIMHANS – national institute of mental health and neuro sciences- a premier neuro and mental institute.
The official uniform for the police is khaki and the traffic police is white.
There are numerous traditional hotels in Bangalore. The most common daily fare of meal generally consists of IDLY VADA, or DOSA, Upma, for breakfast , A Full meal or Uta ( Meaning Uta), or north Indian meal,
The traditional bangalorean eats rice mostly and some time wheat.
Bangalore is also famous for its pub , 80 % of which is based around the MG Road area, Bangalore loves beer. Some of the Pubs are Pub World, Tykas, Nasa, 13th floor, 1942, F Bar, and many more.
Bangalore shutting down time is 11 pm. There are also various theatres in Bangalore with the last show being at 9-45 pm. Hindi, English, tamil and telugu movies are regularly screened.
